Moving or Staying

What is the right solution?

Making the decision to move out of your home or having the conversation with your parents or a loved one about assisted living can be stressful for everyone. Finding a new home that is welcoming, safe, comfortable and provides a holistic approach to care, can be the answer.

Our goal is to partner with family members to ensure the best home environment possible for their loved one living at Covenant Care. We welcome suggestions and feedback.

All our residents are unique. We take into consideration each person’s needs and safety requirements when choosing the right place to live in our sites. Our individual care plans are reviewed quarterly and adjusted to meet any new or changing needs.

Activities of Daily Living
As people age, they face challenges their loved ones may not understand or know how to address. We’ve created a list of questions to help identify areas that may be a concern.

IF ‘NO’ HAS BEEN CHECKED JUST A FEW TIMES

and you are able to successfully manage life at home, look into getting help to manage any concerns from a family member, trusted friend or neighbor; or home care services.

IF ‘NO’ HAS BEEN CHECKED MULTIPLE TIMES

it could mean you may need additional help such as an adult day program, supportive living or long-term care.

To see which level of care is right for you, talk to an Alberta Health Services Care Manager or call 811
